My wife went to US consulate in Kuwait for her H4 stamping on Feb 18th. During the interview she was informed that some administrative process on their end was not completed and asked to pay for the DHL service and was told that she would be contacted by DHL who would collect her passport, get the visa stamped and return it to her. She was also told that it should not take more than 2 weeks.. On her application form, the interviewer wrote NO PIM.
Since then it has been a harrowing time for us. It has been 6 weeks, since then and we still have not heard anything. We have tried contacting the consulate using phone, email and at times my wife personally went to the consulate but she was not allowed to enter. We do not hear anything back from them.
I can understand a couple of weeks, but now its more than 6 weeks and counting. We have already cancelled her and my son's flight tickets once. We have rescheduled my son's doctor's appointment. This delay is having a domino effect on our lives.
My question is - Is there anything that we can do to expedite this process.

I am in the same boat. Filed July 19th . As of Last Friday not in the system.
No checks cleared. All the guys who filed with me got their receipt last week from Texas. I am the only one remaining. My I140 was approved from NSC.

on 2nd req, my opinion would be to submit following related to ur skills.
- certifications earned from industry recognised bodies like PMP or OCP etc.
- any inhouse training recd certificates
- any vendor recd training certificates

I applied my i-485 to NSC and it was transferred to NBC in 2009.
NBC arranged an interview with the local immigration office in April 2009.
The Immigration Offer issued a welcome notice even though my PD was not current.
I still have not received the GREEN CARD.
In March of 2011 I received an email saying that my case has been transferred to TSC "to speed up processing"
So I dont know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
Please respond.

My situation is tricky here. I would really appreciate any inputs.
My six years validity for H-1 B will be complete in Mid Dec 2007. I filed my Labor on March 5th in Atlanta. As you know the ATLANTA center is really really slow and I am still waiting on my Labor approval decision. I thought of applying 140 through Premium Processing. Now USCIS suspended premium processing for 140s. My question is:
Whay will be my situation if my Labor gets approved and 140 is pending as of dec 2007 as the LC is filed with less than 365 days remaining on H1 validity? Will I be out of status or can I apply for 7th year extension.
Please guide me through the process and any scenarios. Thank you in advance.

I went to Infopass to enquire about my interfile status. The first level officer said since my PD is not current, she will not allow me to meet the IO. I argued that PD has nothing to do with knowing the status and allow me to meet the actual IO. she still did not. What a crap !!!

My case is a bit different.
I have a 485 filed by a company for future employment.
Right now my Priority date became current for my current employer and that labor and I140 are approved.
So can we file multiple 485's with USCIS or do we need to cancel the other 485 to file new 485 with my current employer.

I have a request / concern / what ever you would say.
Please do not cirtize if you do not like the idea, just ignore and leave the thread.
There are so many people comming to IV for other experts guidance on different things mainly on H1B status, AC21 status, AP, FP, EAD and H4 to EAD, .....
Why don't you create a general guide lines or rules or do's and don't or QA's for each topic, so that each member or visitor who come to IV can atleast go through them before asking or posting quesitons.
You can create a survery for different kinds of questions people / members / visitors might ask or have fore each topic before creating the thread so that we can have a pool of questions and answers for each topic from experts or attorney answered. (you might say we have recordings from attorney Prashanti Reddy, but it would be good if we have some thing which can be referred easily i.e., typed.
These are just some of my thoughts, it can or cannot be implemented. It depeneds on IV admins/Gurus/Experts on this forum.
Gurus, please provide your thoughts.

You can file H1-B extension based on your approved i-140 you should receive another 3 yrs extension i did the same.

Its not a problem. As long as your I-485 is applied and pending , you can apply any time.

I am on F1 status in US, My parents are green holder..... I am also planinig to do PhD..... can i apply for green card now....?..... If yes..... on what purpose and with what requierments...?
